SO SÁNH

So sánh Bằng :       AS   + adj/ adv/N +  AS

1. He is as  tall as his father
2. I sing as well as singer.
3. I have as many books as you                  many --> N đếm được, số nhiều
4. she  has as much money as you.              much --> N không đếm được
5. This box is twice as large as that one.

So sánh  hơn :        

1. short adj/adv + ER                 +      THAN
2.  More/Less   +   long adj/ adv    + THAN           
3. happy -> happier, dry--> drier ,easy --> easier ,early--> earlier,...
4. today is hotter THAN yesterday.
5. He speaks ENglish more fluently THAN I do.
6. Tom is  much / far   taller THAN Peter.     -->   much, far dùng để nhấn mạnh.

So Sánh Kép: = The + ss hơn

1.  THE hotter it is ,THE   more miserable I feel.
2.  Between them, Dr Gate has the greater insight.

So Sánh Nhất : 

1. Join is the tallest boy in the family. 
• ý nghĩa của  "the" : là 1 boy trong gia đình, đã xác định .
2. Of the three students , Nguyen is the tallest.
3. Of the two  students ,Nguyen is the tallest
4. Of the three runners, she is by far the fastest.   far : nhấn mạnh.
5. This is the best hotel available in this district.
6. She was doing the very best she could.

TỪ - CỤM TỪ:

1. normal pay increase
2.  (adj)     (N : mức tăng lương)
3. upon request : theo yêu cầu
4. better than = superior to
5. Pay attention to = Attention must be paid : chú ý vào
6. Before + Ving = Prior to + Ving.
7. thank somebody for something : cám ơn ai vì điều gì.
8. therefore : vì thế.
9. According to: theo như
10. make effort  : nổ lực
11. make + decision
